Just realized it's been about 8 months already since the last update... it's gone by fast. Let's see... Our trip to Europe in July was awesome. We are ready to go back! We spent most of the time in England, although Jon and I made a quick trip over to Paris. We arrived the day before the subway bombings, so that made the trip interesting and memorable in a different way than we were expecting. It set-us back again on our touring plans but otherwise didn't affect us too much. My favorite part of England was just the atmosphere and culture. Jon really liked the castles and palaces. Paris was also very fun. Jon and I broke off from the rest of my family and spent two days in Paris. We saw the Mona Lisa, Eiffel Tower and a few other of the famous places. We actually climbed over 700 stairs to get up to the second tier of the tower because the elevator's were closed due to the terrorism in London. It was in the hundred's that day and we were wearing flip-flops, so it was an interesting climb...but still definitely worth it!
The rest of the summer just flew by with weddings and other smaller trips. Jon did well in his 3rd semester of PT school which ended in December. He is enjoying it and we both can't believe we've reached the half way point at our time here in Fresno. I am still working at the same accounting firm here in town. I recently took a new position in the firm and am now in charge of all staff training. I am actually really enjoying the new position and feel like it is a better fit for me.
We have been going to the same church here in Fresno for the last year and a half or so and are really enjoying it. We just got involved in a small group and are starting to meet couples our age with simular interests, so we are excited about that. We enjoyed our network of friends at our church in Salem so much and really missed it when we moved.
Our families are both doing well. Jon's Dad is now working in Vancouver, WA and commuting back home to Salem on the weekends. Faythe and Tiffany are busy with planning Tiffany and Billy's wedding for this summer. They aren't "officially" engaged yet, but do have a date set. So Jon and I are excited to have another wedding coming up this summer! My family is also doing well. My Dad is still "retired" but working 3 days a week at GSA and my Mom is still working hard at the hair salon. My great-grandma is not living with my Mom and Dad anymore, so for the first time in 27 years they have an enpty house. I think it's a little strange for them both. Trevor and Tawnya are approaching their one year anniversary already and no baby's yet! :-) I am personally pulling hard for a niece or nephew sooner than later! I need a little one to spoil until Jon and I can start our family! My Nana and Papa are also doing well. They are still running their craft shop and working harder than other people I know their age, but I guess it keeps them young. :-)
Well, I will write again..probably after 4/15... :-) Take care. Our love to all.

Hi all. One down and two years to go until Jon is done with PT school and we embark on the next adventure of our life...whatever that is. The time here in Fresno is definitely going fast (thankfully!). Ha.
We are enjoying summer and have many trips planned. We spent last weekend in San Francisco for Jon's 25th birthday. We took in a Giants/A's game and did some touristy stuff. Over the next few weeks we have trips planned to Petaluma and up to Oregon to see Jon's family and watch his baby sister graduate from PSU. Jon is also excited to be going on a mission trip to Mexico this summer to help build a house for those in need. But the thing we are most excited about is our trip to Europe in July. We will be headed to England and France for a couple weeks thanks to a gracious gift from Sarah's parents. We will be going with them and Sarah's brother and new sister in-law. It should be quite the adventure and we are all very excited about it! After Europe, Sarah will be a bridesmaid in her HS friend's (Jody and Matt) wedding in Santa Rosa and attending her 5 year HS reunion.
Life is so full of many fun times right now and we thank the Lord for each and every day that we get to enjoy. As always, we'd love to here from you so shoot us an e-mail. Take care. - Jon and Sarah

Well, we've been in Fresno for 5 months now and it's not as bad as it's reputation! This is not to say that we love it and as of right now can't wait for the three years to be over so we can move. Don't ask where we are going, just know that we are! Its up to God to decide. Jon hopes to go back to Oregon and Sarah hopes to go back to Petaluma/Santa Rosa area. So between now and then, its going to depend on whose family prays harder :-) We have made lots of trips to Sarah's parents and gone to Oregon twice. We went to the Oregon football games at both Stanford and Cal and in between was sandwiched the game against Washington, which Jon and his dad attended. Also, in the last few months, we sold Jon's truck to Sarah's best friend, Natalie. She had been hounding Jon about selling it to her since he bought it pretty much, and finally he cracked. And after much searching, we replaced it with a 2002 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab (4 doors) 4x4. It is much like the old one, except it is a candy apple reddish color and a automatic. Actually, we sold the truck as a last effort to help Sarah's foot heal (it's a long story!)
Jon just finished up his first semester of grad school with straight A's!!! Jon was extremely surprised because he thought he was going to get a C in one of the classes. But he managed by the grace of God to get 101 out of a 100 on the final, which put him one point over the cutoff for the A. Over Christmas break, he has been playing the role of "House Husband," which Sarah has grown to really love. He has been very busy, because of an unfortanate event that happened after Christmas. We were driving back to Fresno from the Smith's in Petaluma the day after Christmas, when we were rear ended on Highway 101. We were in our new truck, and had just merged onto the highway. We got about 100 feet down the road and came to a stop, however the guy behind us didn't.
Well, thats about it from Fresno. Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the New Year. Please e-mail or call us whenever you feel. We would love to hear from you. Love, Jon and Sarah

We have made the big move to Fresno! Jon is well into his first month of PT school and Sarah is enjoying her new job. Sarah was hired as a Staff Accountant at a large CPA firm here in Fresno and is very much enjoying the freedom of being done with school! On the other hand, Jon loves not working and being back in the books. Guess that's what makes us a good pair, huh? Fresno is way different than Salem, but it's not as bad as the reputation it has. We enjoy the weather and haven't been shot at yet! No really, we feel just as safe here as we did back in Oregon. We celebrated our 2nd anniversary last month already...guess time flies when you're having fun. Would love to here from any of you. Take care.

We are moving to Fresno! Jon has been accepted into the Physical Therapy Master's Program at Fresno State University and will start in August '04. Sarah Graduated on May 1, 2004 from Western Baptist College and has started her accounting career at the same firm she has interned at while in college....however, she is in the process of finding a new job in Fresno. We are very excited about this next phase of our life together and know God has something wonderful waiting for us as we follow his will. We appreciate your prayers during the coming summer months as we make so many new changes.
